Shuttle Services on West Coast
« on: July 21, 2018, 03:59:42 pm »
We are riding the Pacific Coast route from Astoria to Crescent City and are wondering if anyone has used a shuttle service to move a car from start to finish.

thanks

I don't know if a shuttle exists.  Most people just go off route and hop onto Amtrak.  Best, John

Best to leave your car in astoria at the tourist info building which I think is the same building as the Chamber of Commerce and then just find a way back up from Crescent city. I've done the trip twice once I cut across the mountains from Florence to Eugene  which was a hard trip in itself and then took the Amtrak up to Kelso/Longview and then rode back over to Astoria and picked up my vehical. The second time I had somebody come down to pick me up in Crescent city. Next time I do it I'll just find a way to get back up to Astoria, bus/ship and my bike back home to Canada.  You could Rent-A-Car and drive to Portland or Eugene and get the Amtrak that way. This is always a problem, good luck
