The Ferguson Fire is burning just outside of Yosemite National Park. Due to this, the South entrance to the park is closing at noon 7/25/18 through the weekend and perhaps longer depending on the fire. There is a lot of smoke in the area making cycling uncomfortable. There is no short detour to get back on route. You might want to ride US 395 south to SR 180 178 to cross back over to the route near Grant Grove Village on map 54. If others have suggestions, please reply to this thread.

Updates from the park can be found here:

I don't think Rt 180 connects to Hwy 395.  The only numbered route that crosses the Sierra Nevada Range south of Lake Vining (rt 120) is Rt 178.  The only other route is to take 9 Mile Canyon road (off the 395).  It becomes Kennedy Meadows then Sherman Pass road.  It then connects to Mountain Hwy 99.  This road will take you into Isabella Lake.

Aggie,

Thanks for correcting my suggestion. It looks like one could simply continue on US 395 all the way to SR 178 directly to Lake Isabella as well.
