How do you keep your passports/ID?
« on: November 10, 2018, 05:45:07 pm »
Just wondering how you all deal with documents.  I have heard some people carry copies for use in hotels.  Specifically would like info pertaining to central and south america.

Thanks!

I keep mine in a plastic bag in my money belt, I usually carry a few photocopies of the information page and visa to hand in at hotels so they don't need to have the original.
I am currently in India and was recently in Pakistan and Nepal where all hotels are required to take copies of documents.

I think it depends on where I am traveling as well. I'd make at least one photocopy of each document and keep them stored separately for an emergency.
