Lake Champlain Island Line trail in off season
« on: April 17, 2019, 08:50:18 am »
Hi all - new to the forums.

I'm planning to ride through the islands and along the bike causeway in Lake Champlain, southbound from Montreal to Burlington VT. However, I've learned that the ferry spanning to 200' gap in the causeway doesn't open for the year until after my trip.

Are there alternatives, or must I take Route 2 in order to get off Grand Isle? In particular, I was wondering if there would be any small privately owned boats or something that help cyclists with the crossing in the off season.

Thank you,
Taylor

Take RT2. It should not be bad off season with very wide shoulders.

Call Local Motion for other ideas.
