Northern Tier Tow Path help

I need some info, I am in Lockport starting the Tow path tomorrow, my problem is that I am on a recumbent bike, with skinny tires and close fenders with the rain lately should I try the tow path or go around it? Any help is appreciated.

The canal bank rides almost like pavement, except it gets your bike dustier. Ride it for a while and see if it’s working for you.

Thanks John, I am not worried about the dust, it’s the construction and all the rain we have had.
