What r the odds of any supply chain disruption 4 cycling parts?

In light of another post that is on this Forum about the virus related growth in cycling +
the potential for cycling parts supply disruption as some manufacturing is being moved back to USA shores ...
should we be concerned about certain parts not being as much in immediate supply as has been the case?

I personally always have a few extra of the "replaceables" on hand, i.e.tubes, tires, a spare chain (belt in my case), bar tape, etc. 

Basically, during this down time, consider giving your bike a decent makeover (new tires, bar tape, etc.) and you should be fine.  However, I believe the supply chains will be corrected within a couple of months so it is unlikely they will run out of major better quality components during that time.

Nah there won't be any issues for parts, look they're still selling parts that have been stored in warehouses for years for bikes made in the 80's!!  There are bike shops who still have new parts they bought for bikes in the 80's stored in basements and attics of a lot of shops across this nation.  I know of a shop in town that the owner is constantly looking for closing bike shops and goes and buys out their old new stock stuff, this guy has an amazing collection of old new stuff, even stuff from the 60's! 

When a factory makes parts they make an abundance of this stuff, the only problem you could have is replacement parts for the new electronic components, but the batteries you'll find all over the place, and there are even places that can rebuild those batteries. 

No, you won't have problems getting parts...unless Covid19 gets a lot worse and no cure is found for 10 years or more; but if that happens, finding parts for your bike is going to be the least of your concerns!!
