2007 Trek 520 Parts Help

Hi All,
I just bought a NOS 2007 Trek 520 frameset and I'm having trouble finding specs online. Can someone help me with headset and BB info? I'll be using a Shimano Deore XT 1X11 crankset. I'm assuming the headset is 1 1/8 thredless, but would like confirmation from someone knowledgeable asbout the 520.

You are correct about the headset. The bottom bracket is a standard "English" 68mm. The bottom bracket used for that XT 1x11 comes with both 68mm and 73 shell width adapters, so you'll be good regardless. Another important spec that you may or may not already know is hub spacing. The 520 uses 100 front and 135 rear. It's an easy frame to build up using pretty standard specs. Have fun!

Thanks for the reply. Turns out the headset is not 1 1/8"
 on the 2007 model but 1" (25.4). You are correct about the BB, I have installed my Hope BB in it and it works fine. The wheelset I have is standard 100/135 so they will work as well. I've got a headset, stem, and spacers coming from IRD and Soma. Looking forward to thousands of COVID free miles...

I apologize about the headset goof. I'm shocked. I've owned two 520s; one from the late 90s, and I remember that having a 1", but I ended up breaking the frame circa 2007-2008 and Trek warrantied it with a new frame. I could of swore it was 1-1/8. Oh well. I'm glad everything's coming together for you. Those are great frames/bikes. I put over 40,000 hard miles on the two I had before finally moving onto something else.
