John - Do you have any links saying Ibuprofen is bad after the shot? I would live to know before I get my first shot. I should be inline to get my first shot in February and I am now 500 mg of Naproxen twice a day for arthritis. Being of Irish decent, and known to enjoy a drink or two at the end of the day (weekends only these days), I have always steered clear of Tylenol due to the severe outcomes even death when used with alcohol. From what my doctors have told me Naproxen is easier on your system than Ibuprofen and, for me, taking Tylenol has little impact on severe joint pain.

Typical scientific reading.  It doesn't say it is bad per se but that it may inhibit the effectiveness of the shot. For someone like me, I will  probably try to pass on the ibuprofen as much as possible since if I get the virus, I would have a harder time fighting it.

Same here. Thanks, I will read the article check with my doctor. Maybe better to endure a few weeks of joint pain.

Oh it shouldn't be a few weeks but more like up to 3 miserable days.  I am just a whim with pain in my old age  ;)

I stopped the Ibuprofen as soon as I read about it.  That was several days before I was scheduled for the second shot which is today.  I will probably avoid the ibuprofen for a few days after the shot just because even though they say it is okay then.  It has been a little extra pain, but fortunately this has not been a time where my joint pain has been especially bad.

Same here on the joint pain. We walk a mile or two every day, but the honeybees and gardens are tucked in for the winter, so I am not slinging 100 pound honey supers or building stone walls and planting trees. At 1,000 mg a day I figure I need a week to purge my system of Naproxen before the first shot.
