Cape Girardeau to Nashville

Hello -
I am looking for advice for a route that connects Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Nashville Tennessee.   We are planning on following the Great Rivers South route until Where and how to cut east/south to Nashville is where we need help.

I am jealous of your knees!

I personally plan to ride to Waverly, TN, then head over to Nashville before doubling back to ride the Natchez Trace.  Check out these routes.  They are best done with a GPS or some device that can follow a track due to the many turns.

NOTE:  I have not ridden this route yet but plan to do so in the next year.  I have decades of experience with routes.  I try to reasonably minimize traffic when possible.

You could also write the local bike clubs and see what they suggest.

I was wondering about a route off of highway 70 - and what you provided looks good!  I will check it out in detail.

And by the way,
I've had 12 knee surgeries and now have both knees replaced.     I coach people with knee pain to help them to reduce pain and get active again!
