Mackinac Bridge

Need help.   I realize bicycles are not allowed on the Mackinac Bridge.  I learned Bridge Authority no longer offers a shuttle service.  Alternatives:  1) Take ferry from St Ignace to Mackinac Island and then another ferry from the Island to Mackinac City or 2) Find someone to shuttle you across. 

#1 is pricey and I don't want to visit the Island (been there, done that) leaving me with option 2.    Does anyone know if there is a shuttle service or of a willing person to transport a bike and its owner across the bridge (for a reasonable fee)?

I know that you’ve been there done that, but I think it’s worth doing again. Ride your bike around the island again and buy some more fudge. That fudge keeps indefinitely in your panniers, so buy enough to last for the rest of your tour.

It’s well worth the $27 for you plus $12 for your bike. Besides, the ferry ride itself is a lot of fun.

Thanks John for the encouragement, but I really am going to skip the island.  As for the fudge - I can pick the same fudge up either in St Ignace or in Mackinaw City.
