The SS Badger ferry between Ludington and Manitowoc is closed for about a week (starting Aug. 10)  due to a COVID-19 exposure. Call 800-841-4243 or check their facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SSBADGERFERRY/?__tn__=-UC*F) for updates.

Take the main route instead of the Manitowoc Alternate to get around. 
There is also a ferry between Milwaukee and Muskegon: https://www.lake-express.com/schedule/

Though due to the nature of the closure, this date could be extended.
