On Map A, beginning August 22, Trail Creek Rd./FR 114 will be closed for 4 weeks due to heavy maintenance. Bike and foot traffic will not be allowed through. The work is between the Whitefish Divide (mile 36.3) and turn H (mile 51.1). Here are two options to reduce miles of riding on US 93.

Begins in Stryker, 17.4 mi. total, over 2000 ft gain. Riding this option avoids 30 mi. of US 93 between Stryker and Whitefish. Only services are a campground at Upper Whitefish Lake (though there are numerous undesignated sites along the way).

Begins in Olney, 8.8 mi. total, just under 1000 ft gain. Riding this option avoids 18 mi. of US 93 between Olney and Whitefish. There are no official services (though numerous undesignated campsites along the way).
