Priority Bicycle
« on: October 02, 2022, 05:35:58 pm »
I am shopping for a new fitness bike. I am a 5'2" female and I am having quite a time finding a bike that fits me. I am interested in the Priority Continuum Onyx, but I am concerned that the reach may be too long. It is a flat bar fitness type bike and it looks amazing. According to their measurements, my inseam is at the very bottom of their smallest frame.  I am wondering if anyone out there has one and can give me some advise.  Am a little apprehensive to purchase a bike without test riding or at least a fitting....thanks for any info

Just in response to reach. Stem might be reversed. Bars might be reversed. Bars might be changed.

the one thing that cannot be changed is stand over height, although wearing mountain bike versus road bike shoes can buy you maybe a 1/2". Almost everything else can be adjusted with swapping parts. Google how to properly measure stand over height or pay your LBS to fit you to a frame.

How are you measuring your inseam? It really requires two people using the "book between the legs against a wall in sock feet" method.

Maybe the book between the legs measuring method requires two people. I have been satisfied with measuring (using a flattened pizza box or equivalent) with just myself. In any case, formulas just give the starting point. You tweak from there.
