Hi, everyone! Wanted to share some FREE bike events that will be happening in the month of June. These events are being put on by goDCgo, an initiative with the District Department of Transportation. They are doing a pledge to ride a bike this summer and then holding three events encouraging bike knowledge and usage throughout the District.

Biking 101: Biking Skills Tips, and Best Practices with the Washington Area

"goDCgo Biking 101 pop-up bike event will provide basic biking knowledge, skills and best practices to intermediate-level bike riders that are DC residents. In partnership with WABA, learn proper helmet and seating fit, biking tips for everyday ride, and biking through DC’s infrastructure. We’ll also have many giveaways, including bike repair kits, bike lights, bike helmets, sweet treats, 2023 bike maps, Conte’s gift cards, and more! We’re also raffling away 2 NEW bikes!"
Bike Maintenance and Repair

"goDCgo will hold a Bike Repair and Maintenance Pop-Up providing on-site bike repair tune-ups (first come, first service, limited availability)and helpful bike maintenance instructions) and takeaway bike maintenance tips. GLOW at Night Group Bike Ride

"This GLOW-themed group bike ride is a chance to get involved in the biking community. Glow-in-the-dark wheel lights will be provided for participants at a first come, first service basis while supplies last. The route will highlight special DC sights and include a celebration at Kramers bookstore & café. We're also giving away gift cards to Conte's Bikeshop, bike repair kits, bike lights, bike locks, helmets, and raffling off 50 annual Capital Bikeshare memberships and 1 bicycles!"
