Adventure Cycling Plans for a Party/Event in 2026?

Hello Staff,

Does Adventure Cycling have any plans firmed up for a 2026 reunion event?
A date/ location that i can mark in my calendar book?
its only 3 years away, after all...

if i can get a Date, I can plan accordingly!
I am assuming it will be in Missoula, like the 40th.

This is a rather late response but as I was passing through Missoula about 3 weeks ago (7/2/25), I stopped in at ACA to ask the same thing.   Plans are not final yet but it looks like it will not be in Missoula but in Tucson, AZ and it will be in mid-January of 2026.  I didn't get an explanation of the reasons for those choices except that Tucson has better access by public transportation.  I suspect they also wanted a winter reunion so that it would be less stress on staff and that may also have played into their choice of Tucson. 

It will be more convenient for me to get there -- less time and cost -- but I like Montana better for other reasons.  My decision to attend will be based on other factors such as whether some friends from my 1976 Trans-Am Group will be able to attend and, possibly, the cost.   (I have a free place to camp near Missoula.)

So there seems to be NO plans for a 50th reunion on Missoula .
is there any appetite for a Meetup in Missoula in July?

We can pick a park and all just show up with Food and Beverages .
and have our own Semi-Offical reunion

I might be up for that but need to schedule some other things first and contact the remaining cyclists from my group to see if they are interested too. 

Do you have any specific times in mind?  (The last few years have had a lot of wildfires in the west.  Even if they aren't in the area, the smoke from them travels a lot.  mid-late June is probably the best bet for avoiding that and still having a decent chance of not being wet (or cold at higher elevations).

I have not really thought of a date/ location...  am flexible on that
I was leaning towards the same date as 40th .. "The 40th anniversary will include The Montana Bicycle Celebration, July 15 – 17, 2016 in Missoula, Montana—"
which in 2026 would be July 17-19, 2026
I definitely understand how evil wildfires are in the west.. my wife's brother is part of the helicopter firefighting crew...
 how they can shut down airports, turn the area into a burning hell... but they run all the time now... winter and summer... so no way to really avoid them... or plan for them.
I reckon lots more people will come out of the woodwork if we plan the event, then put the word out on Facebook/ forum/ adventure cycling email blast..
