Expeience with Panaracer Gravel King Plus for tubeless touring?

Going tubeless. Do not appear to be Schwalbe options in 700 cc/35 tubeless tires. Bike shop is pushing Panaracer Gravel King Plus. Experience? My criteria is flat protection and difficulty mounting where necessary.  Do you carry folding tires in remote region as backup?

I thought all current Schwalbe offerings were tubeless. I certainly bought 700x35c tubeless tires.

Actually no. I tried to get a Schwalbe One tubeless but the max width was 700 28CC. They make the Almotion tubeless in 35 CC. Experience?

Not 700c x 35, but 700c x 37mm Schwalbe Marathon Evolution Supreme Tires. Difference in rims can account for 2mm width difference when mounted.

I've had bad luck with Panaracer Gravel Kings tubeless.  For me they have never sealed well at the rim, and they puncture.  They ride pretty nicely and are medium grippy.

But in 700x35c, the Continental GP 5000 All Seasons blow away GK's in all categories.  They roll insanely fast, they are incredibly grippy in a bad weather conditions, and they have better puncture protection.   Tubeless setup has been easy and unproblematic for me.

 The treads probably wear out faster than the GK's, but GK's start to puncture really easily when you're about halfway done with the tread, so functional tread life effectively is about a tie, maybe better for the Continental.

Yep, I love 'em.

Thanks, Hank. I am laser-focused on puncture resistance and ease in mounting.

From the chart within your link that I found by going into "compare top 5 puncture resistance" it looks like the Panaracer Gravel King Plus SS tires (which only show up when you do the top 5 comparison) offer superior puncture resistance to the Conti All Seasons. Did you ride with the Panaracer Plus (which offers better resistance than the baseline Gravel Kings?

I have Gravel Kings in 43 on my gravel bike and 2.1" on my Fargo (bikepacking) bike. In my recent experience, they're less puncture resistant than other tires...  as I convert my Fargo for a road tour, I've been riding the Pirelli Cinturato H tire in 50mm on the road... great flat resistance and rolls well. They come in 700x35...

I've ridden Cinturato H's on a 1200km mixed surface (pavement and mellow gravel) tour in mostly Switzerland. 

Tough and carry a load really well.  Roll pretty good for their weight. Reasonable grip. Ride well at higher pressures

Downside irl (as opposed to on a testing drum) not close to as fast rolling as the GK's (or super-fast rolling Conti all seasons), ride heavier feeling then their weight, flattish contact patch on most rims

In my mind the Cinturato H files with strong, damp tires like Specialized Pathfinders, Terravail Sparwoods, etc
