On April 8, 2024, the bridge over the Beaverhead River in Twin Bridges was closed indefinitely after a failed inspection. This detour is 8.5 miles long and partially unpaved. It is the same detour that all traffic will be using, so ride with caution.

Unfortunately, the Bill White Bike Camp in Twin Bridges is on the opposite side of the bridge closure and will not be accessible.
