Abbreviations of Routes

Does anyone have a list of the route abbreviations specifically when  you use the AC bike navigator and you are using the "cycling" layer? I.e what is urt? Rrt? The numbered ones I can figure out as far as USBRS routes.

First, welcome to the forums.
You might want to call ACA directly on this.  I am surprised there is not a legend or something somewhere app users could access.  My guess is that RTE probably means "Route" but would have to see the context.  I have no idea what URT is other than maybe Urban Route but that is a total guess.

Sorry I could not help more.

The "Cycling" layer in the Bicycle Route Navigator app uses the OpenCycleMap basemap, which is not created by Adventure Cycling. Here is a key that shows the difference between national, regional, and local bike routes based on color (https://www.opencyclemap.org/docs/). The abbreviations you mentioned are probably for local or regional named bike routes, but it's hard to know without more context. For example, the Great Allegheny Passage is abbreviated as "GAP" on the basemap, and the Erie Canal Trail is abbreviated as ECT.
