RWGPS - no POIs on digital route. What am I doing wrong?

I've just bought the ACA digital route for Route 66. When I import the tcx file into RWGPS on an imac the route is there but there are no POI's.
Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

I am far from an Apple person so can't help you other than to suggest you contact RWGPS Help.  They are very helpful and quick to respond.  John

Hey Pete, Kevin from Ride with GPS here. You can certainly contact our wonderful support folks to help out. Though, I do have a question. With your purchase, were you provided with .TCX files? Or .GPX files? With each digital purchase they should be providing .GPX files with POIs as waypoints, and not TCX files, as TCX files do not support POIs.

Thanks Kevin. That explains it. For some reason it's a tcx file that downloads. I hope they have a gpx version because it's the POI's I want. The link i got with the purchase https://ridewithgps.com/experiences/31881?app_code=???? is, as you can see, a RWGPS page which does not appear to have a GPX option even though the graphic on that page shows POIs.

Just a question.

Will you be able to copy those routes into a new RWGPS route of your own and modify it?  I've also got things set up so when I pin a route it gets loaded onto my GPS more or less automatically.

When I plan trips I often leave notes in the POIs (such as contact information for places I plan to stay).

There are still enduring mysteries to me about RWGPS though...
