Bike transport from Tucson to Patagonia
« on: March 30, 2025, 08:06:01 pm »
hello, I would love to bike some gravel routes out of Patagonia. But how to transport my bike from Tucson airport to Patagonia? Any help out there?

Perhaps rent a minivan and just park it while you ride???

Yes, renting a van is a possibility. But it seems a waste of money to park it for a few days unused, while biking overnight. I was hoping there might be a bus service between Tucson and Patagonia. But if I can find a secure place to park it I could do the van. Thx

You might be able to get a bus from Tuscon to Nogales.  According to Google Maps, the bus company Tufesa goes to Nogales.
I just rode from Tuscon to Back in 2015??, I rode from Tuscon down to Nogales then back up to Patagonia before heading onto the back roads to the military base (don't think you can ride through anymore) and further west.
Picture was along Canelo Pass Rd.  Dispersed camping was wonderful.
