Hi Forum friends,

This summer's tours is starting to occupy my mind.  I'd like to do about 3 weeks or a month.  I finished the Trans Am in 2024 in three segments (1978, 2023 and 2024) and am still zinging from the cycling from Silverthorn, CO to Florence, OR.    And where do I go now?

I've been intrigued by Great Falls, MT to Anacortes on the Northern Tier, but discussions of traffic and lumber trucks frighten me.  I'm slow, and spend more time in the danger zone.

I thought about part of the Trans Am eastwards, starting in Silverthorn, Co.  Being on the trail with others on the 75th anniversary seems exciting and meeting other cyclists is always so exciting.  But then, I'd have exited the WEST on the second day of riding.
Another consideration is starting at Yellowstone and taking the Parks, Peaks, Prairie to Minneapolis, but I've covered much of that land.  .... I'm thinking Cody to the Nebraska Cowboy Trail and trying to meet up with Ragbrai...

I'm 70 so I've got to make it good.  Not too many rides left.  Thank you for reading

Hey TeresaC,

You don't say what you are looking for?  Scenery, history, cultural, certain temps (or avoid certain temps), hills/flat, etc.  Are you tenting or moteling it?  Cooking in camp or eating out?  Based on that, I bet you can get some more accurate responses.
