The community is ACAs biggest asset

I've read most of the posts and emails. The thing that stands out more than anything is how invested so many people are in the organization, and what a sense of community there has been. This is the most valuable thing, and worth preserving!

I've been a member of ACA only for a few years, during most of which I was working too hard (especially during COVID) to take any long trips. Nevertheless, I have been inspired by the magazine in ways that have changed my life. I've only had a few multi-day adventures, but now I'm 67 and retired, and I aspire to more!

This is a tough decision, and good points are made on both sides. The tipping point for me is a quote from one of the emails: they are choosing mission over property. So, I think I will vote yes.

I hope that the organization will heal and continue. The recommendations for mediation are good and I hope the leaders on both sides will think about that. And, I need to add, I for one have appreciated the attention over the last few years to actively welcoming and opening doors to people who have not traditionally been part of the biking community, and I hope that continues.
