Very-but-not-completely unsupported touring
« on: July 02, 2004, 02:55:39 pm »
I'm looking for a tour operator to plan the itinerary and book the hotels, but I do not want luggage transfer or a sag wagon.  Finding self-guided tours (w/o sag wagaon) is easy, but it's hard to find one that lets you carry you own stuff for a reduced rate.  Destination:  France.  Any recommendations?  Thanks very much.

Check out the "Cyclist's Yellow Pages" published by Adventure Cycling. (Available on-line at the AC website.)I know there are a couple of services, such as 'Iron Donkey' in Ireland, that work that way. I know I have read about at least one such company in France in "Adventure Cycling" but I cannot remember their name.
