Info on Lewis & Clark Trail Bike Route

My wife and I are looking into biking 4 or 5 days of
the Adventure Cycling's Lewis and Clark road route
in the area of Nebraska, South Dakota or North
Dakota.  This is sort of a last minute opportunity
later this month, and so we're trying to pick out a
nice short section(100-200 miles) to cover in the
short time we have available as an unsupported
tour.  We've got the Adventure Cycling Assoc book
on the route which gives general descriptions of
each section, but would like to get info from
individuals who have covered sections of the route
who might give us more guidance in terms of
scenic beauty, difficulty, etc.

I live in Omaha Nebraska.  I don't know the route from Council Bluffs northward, but I do know the route south.  In Iowa and Nebraska, there are tall bluffs along the river.  Bluffs like these, only exist in two places in the world, Nebraska/Iowa and China.  If you go south of Council Bluffs, you travel on the Wabash Trace which is a rails-to-trail ride.  The Wabash trace is a great tree covered trail suitable for both road and mountain bikes.  Again since I don't know the route, I can't help you much more.
