airports, transportation to the great divide trail

Whats the best way to get to Port of Roosville, Montana? And is there a
list of airports running close to the entire great divide trail?

Have you tried looking on the ACA Great Divide maps?

The only time I've been close to there was last summer when we rode the Northern Tier (more or less). We rode north from Libby, MT along beautiful Lake Koocanusa to Eureka, MT which is about 7 miles from Port of Roosville. We then turned southeast toward Whitefish. Then we headed east to Columbia Falls and Glacier National Park. I vaguely remember passing a sign saying I was crossing the Great Divide Route somewhere around there, but I may have been hallucinating.

An airport (http://www.glacierairport.com/) is located about 8 miles north of Kalispell. Follow Hwy 2 East and turn into the Glacier Park International Airport. HWY 2 is red on the map, meaning the shoulder is a rumble strip (not bike friendly). Consider a shuttle or taxi into town:

On the other hand, there are Amtrak stations in Columbia Falls and Libby.

The employees at Glacier Cyclery, 336 2nd Street, Whitefish, MT 59937 gcyclery@aboutmontana.com were very helpful in giving us some route information for getting to Columbia Falls. It’s a nice shop, too.

The group I was with flew into Glacier Intl Airport in Whitefish, and rode the next day up Rt 93 to Eureka, about a 60 mile ride. It was a very pleasant ride. We stayed in Eureka overnight, and rode to Rooseville & back the following day.
