I realize that, no matter what I say, someone will feel the need to post as to why they think helmets should be required, or why they shouldn't be required, or why people should wear them, or why people should get off thier back for not wearing them. It isn't my intention to stimulate another round of the Great Helemt Debate held regularly around the country and other parts of the world. Having said all that, I thought people might be interested, as I was, in seeing the results of a recent poll I posted on the bikeforums.net touring board...

_______________________________________________________

*I always bring and wear a helmet when riding on tour.
60 people (71.43%)

*I always bring, but don't always wear, a helmet when riding on tour.
13 people (15.48%)

*I don't always bring a helmet on tour.
3 people (3.57%)

*I never bring a helmet on tour.
8 (9.52%)

After several days of inactivity, it appears more people have voted in the helmet poll. The, seemingly, final results are:

I always bring and wear a helmet when riding on tour. 84 (70.00%)

I always bring, but don't always wear, a helmet when riding on tour.
19 (15.83%)

I don't always bring a helmet on tour.
3 (2.50%)

I never bring a helmet on tour.
14 (11.67%)

Interesting poll. It would also be interesting to know the countries of residence of the respondents. I have noted that, in Europe, you can spot an American biker, by spotting a helmet.
