7k bike trip documentary questions

hey so me and 2-3 friends all age 20 are going to do a bike trip starting in Saint Paul MN,taking the northern tier bike road, to the pacific coast trail to the western express trail, to where it intersects with the trans-america trail then going on that until the great rivers one up until we reach the northern tier road again and back to Saint Paul.

Obviously this is a huge trip that will take ALL summer and we are going to make a documentary of it and was wondering if we could get sponsorships of any sort and such before hand  and also if anyone knows of any other adventure type cycling documentaries similar to what we are doing that i could watch

You might want to see if you can find "Share the Road"-it came out a couple years ago about a group doing a cross country ride. Check it out at http://www.cirquevideo.com/. A very different type of cyclling video about a trip through Mongolia to India is Asiemut.
I'm sure that if you needed some gear, you could probably find companies willing to help with that aspect for a mention in the film, but how much I don't know.

In Adventure Cycling magazine there is a woman (and husband and two daughters) who toured quite a bit of the world on two tandems.  She has written an article or two related to sponsorship for rides like this.  And/or doing fund raising type rides.  Her's was on breathing or lungs I think.  Look through the archived articles on this website and you may find her articles.  She also did an article on riding with children so you can find her name by finding that article.
