Finding a touring companion
« on: October 20, 2007, 12:47:07 pm »
Hi,

I'm farily new to bike touring but bought some maps from adventure cycling, went with a friend and had a great time. I thought that I would see more people on the route but we never saw anyone. Anyway, I'm interested in riding from DC to Florida this summer on the Adventure Cycling route but I don't know where to post my idea to see if there are others who want to do all of it or part of it with me.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Where was your trip that you didn't meet anyone?  We met lots of riders on the TransAmerica and I often wondered how many we would meet on other routes.

Here (probably in the Classified section) and the Crazy Guy on a Bike Forums http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/forum/?o=1gci are two places that might be good to look for companions.

Also if you are a member of Adventure Cycling try:
