Farm Fresh Tour

I've been looking over Adventure Cycling's organized tours and I'm very intrigued by their Farm Fresh tour in California.  It's local to me, the timing works, the price is doable, and it sounds like a neat idea.  Does anyone have experience with the previous Farm Fresh tour (with a longer route), or with other Adventure Cycling event tours?  

Except for one short tour organized by close friends and mostly with clubmates, I've always toured solo and self-supported.  Not sure why but I'm a little nervous about joining a big group tour such as this.  Any thoughts?
