Closed bike shop, unsure where to post this
« on: August 04, 2008, 06:27:45 pm »
Hi everyone,

I don't know where to post this, so I guess I'll post it here.  Anyone going on a northern New York bike route, the Evans Bike Shop that is listed in Pulaski, NY isn't open.  In fact, it's been closed for about 30 years now.

I've been getting tons of phone calls from cyclists looking for parts as they pass by here and regret to tell them that I haven't run a bike shop in three decades. This year we've had many more calls than usual, so I figured I'd try to post a note here. I've tried contacting Adventure Cycling, since this is who everyone has said is giving us as an active shop, but they just sent us a bunch of fliers to display in our (non-existant) shop.

Sorry to anyone looking for bike parts as they come through this region, and to anyone who's called and we haven't gotten back to or have to tell we've been long closed.

Have a good bike trip.

R. Evans

Hi R. Evans,

Thank you for posting your note regarding the status of Evans Bike Repair. We also received that information (perhaps from you? I don't have the file in front of me at the moment) in July and it is now part of the addenda for the correct map section (NT #10). I apologize for any inconvenience this erroneous information has caused you.

.Jennifer.
