Riding North of the Great Lakes

I want to ride on the north side of the Great Lakes from Slt St Marie to Buffalo ny. Has anyone taken this route and if so can you share with me how it was and what to look out for.

Hi Geary,

http://www.sover.net/~woodrea/ These folks rode that section as an alternate to the Northern Tier route last summer. Mary writes well.
