I'm looking for information on touring central america.  I'd love to hear from anyone who has any ideas on route planning, journals, etc..

We toured from Costa Rica to Guatemala in 2000 at the end of a 1.5 year tour.  We found the road conditions from very bad to acceptable.  Central America is not easy touring.  I would recommend it to only very expierenced tourists.  That said, we had a wonderful time.  

We were in Central America a total of 6 months with very few problems.  If you want further information please email me directly and we can discuss this in more detail.
