Astoria or Florence

Can anyone tell me in there opinion which is the better route to begin
the Trans Am on Florence or Astoria.

Hi,

The Oregon coast is always windy after about 10am.  Going south will be tough, but worth the effort.  If you come south a little ways I think it's route 6 that cuts inland southeat.  It carries a lot of auto traffic, but no worse than 101.  If you continue south to Reedsport you can find a route deserted back roads that take you into Eugene.  

I don't know how much time you have.
