Southern Tier in winter?

Considering riding the Southern Tier route in the next year or so but my only free time is in the winter.  Probably October-November east to west.  I'm a fairly hearty soul so I'm not too concerned about cold nights camping but worried about snow in the mountains.  Does it get high enough to worry about that?

Unless it is a rainy winter you won't have enough snow to worry about in the Laguna Mountains near San Diego. It will be a bit cold, but mostly dry or lite rains in November.

I did the Florida leg of the southern tier in january last year. I had a light
windbreaker and cycling pants and I was fine. It got a bit colder in the
panhandle and I had a night of 32 degree weather camping next to lake
seminole. There were also a couple of rainy days. Check out the blog at
