Potomac Tidewater Break

Any news on a way to complete the Potomac Tidewater route?  We were considering this route for this coming summer, but now are having second thoughts as there doesn't seem to be an cost effective way across the mouth of the Potomac.

Here's what I've found so far.

This site indicates ferry service from both sides of the Potomac.  So far this is unverified.

Still looking for answers . . .
