I have thought about the Lewis/Clark ride or portions of it plus portions of the Northern or TransAm.  I have some section of the  AdvCyc maps for the L/C.  I live in the St. Louis area and east to west would be perfect for me.  What dates did you have in mind?

I'm also thinking about L&C E to W in 2007 and it would be appropriate to start in SL.  I guess I'd prefer starting late enough to ensure that the chance of snow in the mountains is unlikely, but not so late that it is already humid in the midwest.  52YO male with two previous transcontinental tours.  50-80 miles per day, motel at least every 10 days - but more often when rainy.

Have yall begun to narrow the timing down. I'm in chicago and could possibly swing a spring ride. I to
would prefer camping mostly and flexible on most issues.
thanks, ray

The ACA 2007 schedule should be out later this month.  Maybe the L&C E>W from Great Falls will be offered.  My preference is for more miles and fewer rest days than a typical ACA tour, however.

I'm totally open as to dates.  I'd only slightly prefer to finish up by mid August, but starting could be anytime from April 1.
