May 2008 for me buddy....!!!  I'm planning it from Ireland at the minute. Was a Boston redisent for 7 yeras so I know the area quite well and hope to be back there this summer.

Thanks Mary for the topic post.  I was also set to depart Early May but thanks to you that won't happen!  I never thought the snow would be an obstacle that late.  Sooooooo, I guess I'll see you down the road somewhere between Anacortes and the Atlantic!  Thanks again for the DOT link.  I'll be looking at it daily now!  I fly to Seattle on 5/22...and wait for the thaw!

The North Cascades highway SR 20 opened on April 26.

Wow you're all making me itch for a C2C tour.  Make sure you grab some stunning shots of your loaded bikes for www.fullyloadedtouring.com

If we lived on the East coast we'd start from there and ride West as well.  Another plus is that you'd be strong and have things sorted by the time you hit the big mountains. 

Regardless of routing, have a great time!
