Seattle trip suggestions

Hi - my wife and I are going to be in Seattle on a business trip in late April 2008 and we are thinking about adding a 4-6 day cycling trip to our stay.  We could use your help and advice:

What are some good routes in the area or nearby?

Are there any tour companies in the area that do guided tour or self supported tours?  I know this may not be a time of the year that tour companies would be running trips.

We have been considering buying touring bikes (preferably with S&S couplers for travel) for sometime.  There seem to be number of builders and shops in the area.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.

April would be a good time for a Whidbey Island/Olympic Penninsula, San Juan Islands, Victoria, BC loop. Check Bicycle Adventures if they may be running any tours at that time. Seattle is home to Davidson Bicycles, custom bikes available with S&S.
