Ecuador advice

Thinking of doing some touring in Ecuador.  Would like to fly into Quito and spend some time in the Andes, then thru the jungle to the coast.  Any suggestions, advice and help appreciated.  Trip would likely be this June/July.  Thanks, ws

I rode for 2 weeks in Ecuador last August. Most of the roads are okay. The mountains are VERY difficult. More difficult than I had anticipated. The good news is that you can easily throw your bike on the bus for a break, and it's very cheap. Quito is a very busy city. Visit Banos if you can; very fun place.
