Most Scenic Route

We did the TransAm last summer and had a great time.  Took this summer off but are looking for a route for 2009.  We are considering the Pacific Coast Route but I am concerned about the weather.

What is the most scenic bike route in the US?

The Pacific coast is generally considered the most scenic road route in the US. Just do it before the middle of October to avoid the storms and have low MTB gears to climb out of the gullies along Route 1.

The Canadian Rockies (Jasper-Banff) have the most spectacular scenery in North America. You ought to put this on your to-do list.
