I am leaving at the end of September for a 3-week solo tour in Provence (starting in Avignon).

Does anyone have any suggestions on routes?

i would head south to arles, then over to aix en provence before striking out northeast towards the verdon national park and then back across the northern portion of provence as you wind back to avignon.

the lonely planet "cycling france" book is a great source. i have used it often

Hi,
I was in Avignon and Arles just a few days ago on my trip across France. It was hot and VERY busy (traffic)around Avignon. I went south down to Montpellier having come down from Calais. If I can help out somehow just ask. :)
