I'm pedaling from Portland down to Baja.  Anyone pedaled Baja before?

There has been a lot of brutal violence, robberies, kidnappings, etc., in Baja for many months now, much, but not all, of it directed against rival drug cartel members as they try to gain control of the territory.  I would strongly advise against riding there.
