Folding Recumbents?
« on: April 19, 2004, 10:45:59 am »
I'm a newbie, wanting to get into touring. I need a new bike, and am thinking about going with a recumbent. However, I want something that is not a pain in the neck to transport. Has anyone had any experience with the folding recumbents? What are the potential problems compared with non-folding recumbents?

I recommend the website www.bentrideronline. There entire site is devoted to recumbents. The message board has a thread site devoted to touring on recumbents. If you are thinking recumbents this is an excellent site, comes recommended by a local recumbent bike shop in Vancouver B.C.

The good folks at Bike Friday offer a model called the SatRDay. It's a highly regarded bicycle.
