The Myata MTB is "the pick-up truck", and the Litespeed road bike is "the Lamborghini", and living in Texas I spend most of my time on the pickup truck. Bob trailer once a week for groceries, runs to the Home Depot......Regards  Mark of the Dalton Boys

I recently had a Surly Long Haul Trucker built up by Robinson Wheel Works in San Leandro, CA. I had heard that Surly was originally going to name it's new touring model the Mother Trucker...and that's what I call it. I guess LHT sounded a lot more respectable, but I like Mother Trucker!

Get out of the car and onto the bike!

Mira! Mira is a star to be noticed and is also the root word for miracle.  She is white with a beautiful blue and was to be shipped yesterday.  I am still in a dream state.  :-)

I have'nt named any of my bicycles.  If I did, I'd probably name it something like "Good Times", then
whenever I tour I could let the "Good Times" roll.

Obvious really, my BMX Cruiser is used for 'rockhopping' [not by me!] so is 'Rocky', my Puegeot Princeton a 700C drop bar mtb in purple is 'Prince' [think 'Purple Rain'] and my Beach Cruiser is a Meichi Buffalo so is 'Buffy', ideal as she started life as a girls' bike plus we all know the American lassie she is named after, perfect for an American style bike! :8|:

Last year on the Southern Tier my Trek 5200 (pulling a BOB) was named Mariah - for the wind.  This was changed to Maria (pronounced the same) when my wife, Maria (pronounced about as you'd expect) found out.  After 28 years of marriage I'm still able to miss most of the land mines..... :)

Didn't we cover this topic about a year ago?

My Trek 4600 is the "Silver Wolf" because of it's color and it's numerous WTB modifications. (Basically anthing with "Bontrager" on it is now, or soon will WTB.)

My Trek 930SHX is the "Moose" because I am always wondering how a moose will react when it sees this thing with handlebars that looks for all the world like a bull with it's head lowered to attack.

My Marin road bike as noted before, is called "Testimony" or sometimes "Godspeed".

Ride safe,
Hans

My bicycles all have "pete's machine" on both sides of the top tube. I had a bunch of the decals made up at a local sign company.
