hello  iam looking for a new moutain bike Iam thanking of G.F or trek? For trail and touring. what wood be good. help(:  any info wood be a big help. Thank You ktp

There are some questions that you will need to ask first to define your search.  Type of riding that you would like to do?  Type of bike? ( full suspension or with a suspension fork).  Rim brakes or disc brakes?  And cost?  Adventure Cycling has info about choosing the right bike on their web site.  Test ride any bike that you are interested in from your local bike shop.  Also try different brands of bikes.  Start with a moderate price bike that fits you and you can up-grade later as your skills increase.  Adventure Cycling has many knowledgeable staff that can answer your questions.  Hope this helps.
