Good shop with touring bikes in NYC area

Does anyone know a good bike shop in the New York City area that has touring bike's to test drive?

All this discussion on which bike to go for is great but I would like to try some out. The problem is that it is such a small market, no shops want to hold them.

So how do I know what is right for me without being able to try them?

I guess the bst bet is to call around and find what shops have what you want to try out. I might even pay to rent one for a day or two if that is the only option.
