Phil Wood Rear Hub For Older Freewheel Bikes and Tandems

FYI, we have an older Santana Tandem with a six speed 14-34 freewheel and did not want to spend $350-500 to replace everything. I spoke to Phil Wood and he has a hub that will work, with our tandem rim, (48 spoke) at a very reasonable price. Since we have bar cons, we will be able to get an 11-34, 7 speed, without having to replace the entire drive train. Prior to this, the smallest I found was a 13 tooth gear. With a 54 tooth gear on our crank, we will really be able to fly! I thought this might help a few of you out there.
