Charity Ride/Route from Pueblo to Colorado Springs

Can anyone recommend the best route from Pueblo, CO to Colorado
Springs.  We have a sister that lives there and it will be a great stop
over for them to have a hot meal and shower since there camping out
all along the way to save money.

My nephew Kyle and his friend Scott left last week on a 2-man benefit
bike ride across country. The benefit is for a man he worked with who
recently died from cancer and left behind a wife and three young
children.

Kyle works for a (Belmar NJ) bike shop. You can keep tabs on their
progress through the web link below. They will probably update on the
road when they have access to a computer. They were restricted to
carrying only 30 lbs. of gear - which included their tent and sleeping
bags.

I'm real proud of them, Kyle's a real good kid.

THey are are currently in VA where there plan to pick up the
Transamerica cycling trail

Hwy 50 east to Penrose, then north on Hwy 115 into the Springs. A fair amount of traffic  but wide shoulders all the way and the ride up 115 is beautiful.
