How to get from Glacier Nat. Park to Banff to begin Great Divide Route by bike?

Can anyone help me find a way to get to Glacier to Banff?  I am taking the train to Glacier and it does not go into Canada.  I dont want to back track by bike.  I want to start in Banff.  Has anyone had this dilemma?

Ride on the road?  There are probably several nice ways.  I did one last summer and would share it if you are interested.
