Answer my own ? How do i post Image -Image>Additional Options>Attach>
Hi Jim,
There are two ways that you can add a image to a message on the forum. One way is preferred over the other but both options are available. The first way is what you mentioned above. Images can be uploaded from your computer as attachments to the thread and displayed that way. This is a less preferable as we have a limited amount of storage space on the server so we need to limit the size and type of attachments.
The other option is to link to an image already hosted on the internet. There are a number of photo sites where you can place images to then link to on the internet or you can use your own personal web space that often comes with an internet account. Once the image is on the internet somewhere you can add it to the thread. An example would be if I wanted to show the current Photo of the Week from the Adventure Cycling website I would do the following:
1. Bring up the desired image in your web browser.
2. Right click, or control click on the mac, on the image and choose properties. Look for the url or location. For this example it is
http://www.adventurecycling.org/weeklyphoto/595.jpg3. In the message that you are composing look for the insert image icon. It is the second on the second row and if you hover over it a tooltip will appear that says, "Insert image".
4. Enter the url into the dialog and press ok.
The image should appear.
